The nearest middle school is Lewis Middle School, which is about 4- miles away from the San Carlos Neighborhood. The San Diego state university is only about 5-miles away as well, meaning that many students will be able to remain living at home during the school semester.

 San Carlos is a well-planned and beautiful neighborhood in which to live. The schools are great, the crime in the area is low, and the public transportation is great.
