North Park is in the heart of San Diego county. It is an up and coming community full of diversity, culture and art. It is just north of Balboa Park. Most of the housing in this area were designed by David Owen Dryden, a renowned designer and builder, giving the area the title of "Dryden Historic District".
North Park buzzes with the local night life and festivals. The community host a monthly festival known as Ray at Night. The local art galleries showcase the art of local artist during this festival. North Park is full of award winning restaurants, coffee shops, craftsmen cottages, several microbreweries, and the North Park Theater.
North Park has five public elementary schools and two private, one public middle school and two private middle schools, one public high school and one private. There are also Catholic schools for grades K-12. These schools are all apart of the San Diego School District.
At the heart of San Diego, North Park is close to many San Diego attractions. These include, the Gas Lamp District, Sea World San Diego, the World Famous San Diego Zoo, a professional sports arena home of the San Diego Chargers, and many beach sites.
